The day I was a 'yes Mom'

Sunday after church while Mr. Bin was mowing the lawn, the kids found this puddle in the alley and started throwing rocks in it.  Then they found some big sticks and started making splashes.

I was getting ready to drag them away from the puddle to the backyard when I decided to be a 'yes Mom'.  You know, the type of mom who says yes to things.

I told K1 to run inside and get their rain boots.

They were super excited.

I had to dump water out of the boots several times.

The snotty-gross aftermath was worth the mess.

I stripped them down on the back porch and threw them in the bathtub when they were done with the puddle.

They both took excellent naps!

Baby note

Starting to get nauseous, but am still going to my workouts.  Feeling hungover and jumping around and doing mountain climbers is no fun.

According to a pregnancy app on my phone the babe is about the size of a sweet pea or an apple seed.

Still have only told a few friends.  We'll be telling our parents on Mother's Day with a Baby's 1st Xmas onsie since I'm due Xmas Eve.

Here we go again

For the last week or so I've had the feeling I was pregnant.  It's been to early to test, so I've just been wondering...

Tomorrow is our Anniversary and Jade (my brother) and Alisia's baby shower.  Ideally I wanted to wait and test next week after all the hoopla.  Giving Alisia her moment is important to me.  Not that we'd tell anybody right away anyway, but I'd still feel like I was taking something special away from her.

Tonight we are going out to eat with friends of ours and then we're headed to the Firemens Dance.  Both would normally involve drinking.  So I decided to be safe and take a test this morning.  Thinking it was to early and would most definitely be negative, imagine my surprise when I saw that extra line appear!!!

Do you see the extra line?  It's super faint.

Holy smokes!  We're having a third baby!  K3 is coming!

Then, when I start to look into the due date I about fell over.  12/24/12.  Christmas Eve.

Another due date calculator gave me the due date as 12/21/12. <----That's doomsday.  I've been calling this our 'doomsday baby' ever since.

Mr. Bin somewhat believes in all this end of the world garbage.  Not in a we're-all-going-to-blow-up sort of way.  More in a lets-be-prepared-for-shit-to-get-crazy sort of way.  Make sense?

He wants me to stock up on canned goods, bottled water, and toilet paper.  Buy a gun.  That sort of thing.

Which is why I just knew we were going to get pregnant this month.

Mr. Bins only reaction to the news was that he wanted a new couch.  Reason being that he knows we aren't replacing any furniture until the kids are a older.  Now he has to wait longer.  Thanks for all you support babe! <----Sarcasm....

Go me for making a person!!!  Again!!!

- It's Friday the 13th.  Only better day to find out you're pregnant is April Fools Day.

- We got married on April 14th.  The same day the Titanic sank.

- My brother's wife is having a GIRL.

- My brother just got home from Afghanistan.

- K2 lost his beloved blanket somewhere between church, our house, and my parents house Easter Sunday.  I think I'm grieving more than him.

- I'll leave you with K1's outfit of the day.
Hat and goggles from Afghanistan.  Thanks Uncle Jade.

Beautiful March

*Wrote this few weeks ago, never hit publish.

It's been so nice lately that we've gotten outside everyday.  We go for walks, play in the backyard, play in the front yard, ride bikes, color with chalk, go to the park.  It really feels like early summer, except that it's only March!

The thing we've enjoyed most is sitting on our front porch.  We have an awesome porch swing that Mr. Bin made for us shortly after we moved in.  This is the first year that we're really using the front porch like I'd always intended.  Mostly, due to the fact that this is the first time since we've lived here that we don't have a baby and/or a toddler running for the road.  Both boys listen and know their boundaries.  It's been fantastic!
